This is the REAL stuff
This is a very bright almost neon green matcha. I have tried many brands on Amazon and none compare to this except Pantenger ( which is also very very good) , but because of price I must give a slight nod to EFOOFAN. The over all health benefits associated with matcha are just too good to miss out on. The culinary is ok for mixing but not drinking straight. I drink my match straight so I always select ceremonial grade and this is my goto matcha brand and IMO the best matcha product with the matcha a very close 2nd.

It clumps
I’ve been making matcha for years and know how it’s done. Unfortunately, this matcha clumps and you are left with blobs of sodden powder in the bottom of your cup.

Expected more for this price
As a matcha connoisseur and always sourcing the best ones to match the ones from Japan this falls short. While it’s decent to drink on its own, it’s not as smooth when you’re trying to make a latte. There is a bitter aftertaste which left me disappointed. I really wanted to like it as it was affordable… I prefer the other naoki brands that I get from their website as they’re pretty close to what I used to get in Japan

Be cautious when opening
Each packet has a small amount of air when filled with matcha. As soon as you begin to cut or open end of packet a small burst of air escapes along with some powder.
I make sure I open it over the cup of pot so that no amount of powder is waisted.

It was smooth and not bitter, and dissolved easily enough to make a latte. Smaller than I expected but probably for the best since it didn’t get stale by the time I finished it. Bright green and good. Probably on the lower end of price that I saw for something of similar quality. Worth it to try!
