Organic, tasty.
This is my first time trying match but I like the taste. I like how they give serving size options to make it stronger or weaker to preference. It even came with a Match green bag clip to keep the bag closed to keep it fresh.

This EFOOFAN Ceremonial Grade Matcha, Japanese Matcha Tea Style has all the appearances of a quality matcha tea powder. It arrives in a round box that comes apart into two pieces so you can continue to use it once you have opened the small bag with the matcha inside it; this paper bag is lined with plastic, probably to ensure that the matcha stays as fresh as possible. There is a clip included to use in keeping the bag closed so the product stays fresh and dry. Best Used Before date is 01/06/2025. I think the powder is easy to dissolve in hot water for a drink and it also mixes well with other ingredients if you are using it in baking or cooking. I finally made matcha ice cream which I have been wanting to try since seeing a chef make it on a television program. For my family, the result wasn’t worth the effort, but I did satisfy my curiosity. This is a quality product made in China but I am the tea drinker in my family and I just can’t seem to cultivate a taste for matcha tea and this brand didn’t help me with that situation.

Borderline culinary matcha
EFOOFAN’s ceremonial grade Mmatcha, priced at $30 for 4 ounces, falls short of my expectations for a premium matcha experience. Although labeled as ceremonial grade, I find it to be situated on the boundary between ceremonial and culinary grades. In fact, I’ve tasted culinary matcha that surpassed the quality of this one.
When it comes to enjoying matcha without sweeteners, I expected a refreshing and sweet flavor profile with complex and distinct characteristics. Unfortunately, this matcha misses the mark. It presents a flat and dull taste, accompanied by a slight unwelcomed bitterness reminiscent of oversteeped green tea. While it may not be as unpalatable as I describe, it certainly doesn’t meet the standards of high-grade ceremonial matcha.
That being said, this matcha may still be suitable for culinary purposes or for use in smoothies. However, if you’re seeking a matcha to savor on its own, I’m afraid this one may not be worth the investment.

Small Package Fresh Taste
I’ve had the opportunity to try a few macha teas and this one is superb. The flavor is fresh and alive. The box is so nice it would make for a good gift. I prefer mine in milk but it’s good in water too. I bit pricey but worth it.

Fresh and Wholesome Tasting
I love how fresh this matcha tastes. Like most, I’m not an expert and have to compare this with other teas I’ve enjoyed. This matcha is a bright light green powder that comes in a bag that looks aluminum-lined inside a firm cardboard cylinder. There’s a clip for the bag once opened as well as guidance recommending this is refrigerated after opening. I’ve used this as hot tea with no sweeteners or other ingredients to experience what this is like. I find this matcha quite smooth. Matcha is mixed in a bowl because it has to be whisked (not stirred with a spoon) to get the matcha powder into the drink. There’s a video on the product page that quickly goes over some ideas on how to use this. I just did an internet search and found guidance. When mixed as a tea drink, this matcha makes the tea very green. It is not light colored at all. I found it ‘filling’ for a drink and using a heaping 1/2 tablespoon, I enjoyed 2 12 ounce mugs. There’s no caffeine amount listed on the package although I understand it has caffeine. I’m sensitive to caffeine in the afternoon and experienced no effects (which for me is normally sleep disruptions) after having 2 mugs late in the afternoon. My rating is 5 stars because this matcha tastes so wholesome.

Seems Like A Good Matcha, Fine Powder, Makes A Good Tea, Can Be Used For Ice Cream
I’ve had a number of different Matchas and this seems like it is as good as any I’ve had thus far. It’s a pretty fine green powder. If you like to just drink it with hot water, it makes a pretty nice smooth green tea. It works just fine to add it to a smoothie if you want some green tea goodness in a smoothie. I found it also works well with the ALDI “premium” vanilla ice cream if you want to try green tea ice cream and make your own. Of course you have to mix it in yourself or if you want something a bit more like a shake then you can put it in the blender to get it mixed in.
Overall, this seems to be a better than average matcha and the price for the 4 ounce package is about on par with other “ceremonial” versions that come in at 4 ounces. There are some that are more expensive but I didn’t think they were really any better than this one.

Bright Green
This is my first time trying Matcha so unfortunately, I don’t have anything to compare the taste or quality to. But as a first timer, this actually tastes good. It’s not too bitter, like I kind of thought it would be like. I’m going to try making it into a latte next. Hopefully that turns out even better. The color is so vibrant. I can’t stop looking at it. Plus, the packaging is super cute. Not what I expected at all.

The matcha has a beautiful bright green color. The flavor and aroma are pleasant. It has subtle sweetness with low bitterness. It is grown in China.

MY FAVORITE MATCHA!
I love the quality of this Matcha. It is great for the price and tastes delicious. I froth a tablespoon of this with my raw milk every morning and it’s been a game changer! It’s also a great Matcha for beginners, not too bitter and is very smooth!

I find that matcha works great as an ingredient. When used for drinking, it produces a flavorful green tea with a powerful kick. I primarily use it to make green tea ice cream, and it’s easy to work with. It doesn’t clump up much when I use the correct amount. In terms of taste, it’s rich and fragrant, with a satisfying caffeine kick. It meets my expectations and dissolves quite easily. A small amount goes a long way for me, and the color is just right.”

Putting between screen door and front door
It needs to be kept out of the weather. The flavor is excellent. Tastes as good as ceremonial. Add thin slices of ginger root and turmeric root with lemon outstanding.

Great boost without a “kick”!
This product is fantastic. Exactly what I wanted. I work nights and am not a coffee drinker. However, I do love tea. I needed something that kept me awake without giving me the jitters. A teaspoon of this added to my tea gives me the push I need evenly throughout the night. No soaring high or bothersome crash. Love it! Will always have this as a pantry staple in my home!

The Best In Hot or Cold Tea!
I bought a bunch of different brands…I just wanted a matcha to add to my tea. So many brands had little clumps of leaves that were very unpleasant. This one stirs right in! Smooth in ice tea or hot tea. Idk, that’s how I use it anyway. Give a nice energy that doesn’t affect my sleep. It’s consistently good. Nearly freaked when the new package threw me off and I couldn’t find it. I add about a tablespoon in a tall glass of ice tea, or big cup of hot tea. No ceremony….just great!
