Delicious
Good to know that this product is organic. Thought I would try a lower caffeine substitute to the high end coffee I drink. This was a much subtler caffeine high, and the taste was delicious.

TOO BITTER FOR ME
I bought this tea because the one I normally get was out of stock. It was OK but it has a bitterness to it which I didn’t like. Will not buy again unless I have no choice.

Great Value
Now with everything costing more I was looking for a great tasting matcha with beautiful green color that wouldn’t cost a ton and this one is it. The value you get from this matcha is unmatched

Good for quantity and price
I think for a family that drinks matcha, this is a great option considering the price. It is a grassier green color, it is not as smooth as ceremonial grade. I just think it is worth it if you are trying to have a good product for a reasonable price.

Middling quality matcha from China
As is clear in the product description, this tea is grown in China. This particular tea does not compare well with matcha from Japan. There is no legal definition nor industry standard for “ceremonial grade” matcha, rather it’s a marketing term that implies excellent quality. This is not excellent quality. This is more appropriate for baking or admixture in a matcha latte. For that use, this is far too expensive.
Although this is certified as organic by the USDA, that is no guarantee that it is free from heavy metal contamination that tragically plagues China.

Good flavor
Good flavor. Could be a little stronger but that’s just my preference

Great for its value
I have tasted matcha of far better quality, but this one does the job whenever I am preparing smoothies or baking matcha cookies. For a hot latte, I decided to stick with the more expensive matcha I already owned.
Love the fact that it really is unsweetened, unlike other brands that say the same but still taste sweet.

You get what you pay for
Getting 9 oz of matcha for $22 is actually quite a steal. The only thing is at such a low price for so much matcha, you do have to expect the matcha will be of a lower quality. For what it is and the price I paid, it’s decent, though I’ve only used it in making matcha lattes. The color isn’t as bright as the packaging shows, and no where near as much of a beautiful deep green. It’s more of a brown-yellow color. There also wasn’t a silica gel pack to absorb any possible moisture, so the poor color could be due to that. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the color wasn’t the same as the one on the package (which is to be expected, but still is a bit of false advertising).
Other than that, if you make a lot of matcha drinks at home and don’t want to spend a lot of money on small portions of matcha powder, you might end up liking this. But if you care more about the quality of the matcha, you should probably look elsewhere.

It’s organic, yes, but made in China.
It’s very bitter. A big no: China

Matcha Lattes are the best
We love matcha lattes! The Efoofan brand is excellent and organic. Product arrived as predicted and we bought the 1# size to save per serving cost.

Not pure matcha
I’ve tried many matcha brands and this one is very grassy. I wouldn’t recommend this brand. This one is gross

Bitter
I usually get Ito En brand unsweetened matcha powder but wanted to give this one a try because of the reviews. I bought a big pack but have only used it once because of how bitter and grainy it is. I typically make my matcha with hot water and a hand held milk frother then add half a cup of vanilla soy milk. Ito En is smooth and warming when I make it this way. This brand was gritty and too bitter to finish. I’ll try making it another way to see if I get better results

Good multiuse matcha
I’ve had many different types of matcha over the years. This matcha is good culinary grade. I find that its slightly more bitter than other brands but good taste overall.

Creamy and delicious matcha
So I’ve tried a wide variety of matcha and while not an expert on matcha, based on the colour its more in the middle and so the intensity of the matcha is in the middle. Making tea or using it in my smoothies to give it a kick of flavour. Matcha is generally expensive, so to get some decently priced matcha at 21.89 seems like an okay price
