Edit: I’ve been using the matcha in smoothies and it’s much better mixed with fruit and protein powder.
I really wanted to like this, and I’m really surprised by all the positive reviews after tasting it. It is bitter! Even sweetened it’s hard to mask the bitter flavor. I really was hoping for a matcha i wouldn’t have to sweeten.

I love green tea late’. I put a small amount of hot water in a cup and use a battery powered frother to mix. Then add warmed milk and madagascar vanilla syrup and froth again. Delicious and a great way to start my day. I use a large cup abd put 2 tsp of matcha.

Flavor is just as good as other matchas I have tried, (trader Joe’s matcha latte mix).Which is 8 dollars in store and 15 online and I only got 4 cups out of that mix. While this bag I got 24 drinks out of(1 tsp per drink with honey added to whole milk. Definitely would recommend for matcha lovers!

Grassy and gritty
I’ve tried a few different matcha powders and this one is the most grassy/earthy that I’ve tried, which by itself isn’t bad, but it’s also very gritty. There’s a sandy texture to each sip that is pretty off-putting. It’s inexpensive which is nice but this will be my last time purchasing this brand.

This Matcha green tea really works!
I recently bought this Matcha green tea after reading about it online and how beneficial it can be for you. I did a lot of research and found this product to have the best reviews. I’ve never tried other brands so I cannot compare it to anything else, but I am very satisfied with it!
I have high blood pressure and an underactive thyroid along with arthritis and lower back pain. I can honestly say after a week of drinking this tea that my body feels better. I’m not retaining water in my legs like before, my back hasn’t been hurting like before and my arthritis pain/swelling is gone. I noticed a difference the first day I tried it…seriously.
I can also tell a difference in my focus and energy. I’m not as tired feeling and can focus on work much easier. I highly recommend trying it!

I’m afraid to open the package – update
When I received this package I was surprised at how weighty it was. As a frequent purchaser of matcha powder I’m used to paying a hefty price for a small quantity. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a nine ounce package of it before. I was very excited to make myself some tea!
When I looked closely at the bag it was speckled and looked as though it was punctured. I examined it more closely and discovered there were no punctures. There are, however lots of smears of what could be tea from a package in the shipment that opened up and spilled onto the other packages or it could be some other contaminant. The fact that some of the spots are brown makes me feel like it’s not matcha on the package.
So because there’s some kind of foreign substance on it I’m concerned the factory doesn’t have proper cleanliness procedures and I’m uneasy with the thought of consuming the contents. I’m really disappointed.
UPDATE: After a few weeks with no changes to the stains on the bag I got brave and opened it up. The matcha has a good flavor and made a nice latte, both hot and iced.
