Longjing tea, sometimes called by its literal translated name Dragon Well tea, is a variety of pan-fried green tea from Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, China. Longjing loose leaf tea is produced mostly by hand according to traditional making process. Therefore, the long jing green tea has renowned for its high quality and earned the title of Top ten famous teas in China. Dragon well green tea was granted the status of Gong Cha, or Imperial tea, in Qing Dynasty by Chinese emperor Qianlong.
Linan is one district of Hangzhou and located in a rainy area between 29°-31° north latitude, with an annual precipitation of 1500mm, and an annual average temperature of 15.3°C. This zonal monsoon climate has the characteristics of “Synchronized rain and heat” in spring and summer, “complementary temperature and light” in autumn and winter which are very conducive to the growth of tea trees.

Direction:
1. Warm Cup – Warm the cup with hot water. Pour hot water with 167-185 degree Fahrenheit into 1/3 of cup.
2. Moisten Tea – Drop 2-3g tea into cup, lift and swing cup to moisten tea. Smell it.
3. Infusion – Pour the hot water upto 7/10 – 8/10 of cup.

I like that the batch of tea has the day the tea was packaged and when it expires. However, the flavor is light and leaves a small after taste. You’ll have to add more teaspoons for a stronger flavor.
I Like the organic sancha tea from Japan better. I like the bitterness and it tastes more fresh. I attached the image of the tea that I like better.

Weak tea, no taste.
This tea is as weak as a promise. It is has not much taste at all. At most I can say, this must be green tea. It doesn’t even have much color. I tried to return it and found out I can’t.
And the box was dinged in the shipping. But I don’t give it a low rating for that.

This is a great tasting green tea. It’s a fairly basic green tea flavor without too many complex notes but it’s a perfect everyday sipper. The leaves are fresh and fragrant and the best-by date was far in the future . I like that they include a clamp to keep the bag sealed and tea fresh. The packaging is a bit excessive but I suppose it looks nice. As for the tea I recommend using a heaping teaspoon or 2 teaspoons when brewing a cup as it adds a stronger flavor. Good stuff!

In Chinese, good tea must be aromatic. If it does not have aroma, it must be bad tea. The dragon well tea has pleasant aroma with mellow flavor. The leaves are whole and beautiful.
Recommendation: 5-8 oz tall glass needs 3g of tea leaves.
