It has a VERY strong flavor. It’s a little overpowering, so you only need to use a tiny bit.
I got it because the genmaicha I got was too heavy on the brown rice. I put a few of these leaves in with the genmaicha and get a good middle ground.

A friend returned from a trip to China last year with a gift tin of Long Jing tea and I was looking for a similar blend. This is very close. It came in a nice tin and inner bag and has a flavor profile very similar to the tea my friend gifted me. I have noticed a stem or two in this blend, but they are easily removed before brewing. I’d prefer to have the Long Jing tea I had before, but this is a good replacement for now. I’m not a tea aficionado, or I could elaborate more on the flavor profile differences. I took off one star for the stems, but can recommend this tea.
