Delicious but comes with a few inconveniences

I recently tried the Green Tea Matcha and I have some mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the taste is clean and non-bitter, which I really appreciate. I’ve tried it in a latte, and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s not always easy to find a matcha that blends well without overpowering the milk, but this one does the job beautifully.

However, there are a few drawbacks that I can’t overlook. First off, the container is quite small. While I understand that matcha is often sold in smaller quantities due to its potency and price, what really bothered me was the design of the container itself. It has a lip around the opening which not only makes it harder to get the powder out but also accumulates powder, leading to wastage and mess.

Another issue I encountered was the persistent sediment at the bottom of my cup. No matter how well I thought I mixed it, I always ended up with a gritty texture in the last few sips. The directions suggest using a bamboo stirrer for optimal mixing, which sounds like a great idea. However, it’s disappointing that one wasn’t included with the purchase. Given the price and the premium presentation of the product, including a bamboo stirrer doesn’t seem like too much to ask for.

    Good Matcha

This is some quality Matcha for a good price. It tastes and smells like it should, I’d describe it as earthy. I like to add milk and sweetener to mine and spin it in my milk frothier (which may make the connoisseurs roll over in their graves but I like it!)

    Item arrived open

Item arrived with the seal already torn off. Most likely not safe to use. Plus, the item is not able to be returned or replaced.

    Matcha green tea

I’m trying this tea instead of coffee, I feel great with a lot of energy.

  5. Jun Xue (proprietario verificato)

    Best green tea lattes!

This blends very easily and has a smooth taste! My new favorite thing!

Already saved so much money making matcha milk tea at home

This powder is great. I use 1 tsp of matcha powder for a 12oz cup of milk tea. I weighed 1 tsp of powder with a food scale and it was almost exactly 1g, so each tin makes about 30x milk teas. When you consider that each of those drinks would probably run me at least $7 apiece at a tea shop, you can see how quickly this would pay for itself! The best part of making my milk tea at home is that I can use lactose-free Fairlife milk, which not only is easier on my stomach but also has significantly more protein. I was using a mesh strainer with the matcha powder when I first got it but quickly realized that this step is unnecessary if you use an electric whisk to mix up the tea concentrate.

    Great Matcha Quality

I lovee the flavor of the matcha, color is very vibrant

  8. Bertha Blankenship (proprietario verificato)

    Fragrant and Delicious

This EFOOFAN Matcha smells amazing, with a grassy top note followed by the almost floral tea fragrance and ending with a deep earthiness. The powder is fine and dissolves well in hot water with a good whisking. I also had success using my personal blender to fully mix the matcha in cold milk with no clumps for an easy iced latte. The flavor is pleasantly bitter and leafy up front, and develops into a darker tasting earthy note that reminds me of cocoa without tasting like chocolate. I think this matcha would work exceptionally well with chocolate in baked goods (I’m very tempted to make a match “tiramisu” soon). I also love that the metal tin has a good seal to keep the matcha fresh and is sturdy enough to be re-usable to store loose leaf tea or matcha powder in the future.

    Smooth taste

Hot tea with added ginger and lemon and turmeric enhances taste and nutrition

  10. Lets Be Honest (proprietario verificato)

    Nice

This more afforable Matcha is a great gateway coming from coming coffee or other types of tea.Its helped me personally with constipation and daily energy with fewer headaches. One thing I would caution against is drinking too much of it without eating something first because it can cause upset stomach.

    My new afternoon go-to

I try to lay off the coffee in the afternoon, but I also hit a slump right after lunch that makes working a real drudge. I decided to try this matcha powder in a tea this afternoon and, wow. I perked right back up. Making a cup of this is much quicker than brewing a pot of coffee or tea, so the time-saving is nice, too. The one down side: The crash three hours later was worse than a coffee crash, probably because I drank this tea more quickly, rather than slow-sipping like I do coffee. But that’s a “me” problem.

The taste was pretty smooth and not bitter at all even though I was drinking it unsweetened. I might be an outlier here, though. I rarely sweeten teas and drink French roast coffee, so my tastes run toward the bitter.

    Don’t listen bad reviews

This is the best so far to Me, I actually wanted try different brand, so I did, and doing so proved to Me that this matcha is superior. Brighter green and naturally sorta sweet, though I add stevia liquid in mine, just a little. But great matcha right here.

    Excellent

    Tasty coffee substitute

  14. Mr David street (proprietario verificato)

    Grainy

Someone else said it was grainy and it is. Doesn’t ‘dissolve’ well, sinks to bottom of cup; have to swirl it around while drinking. But good color. Label says only 1/2 tsp per 12 oz but its product description shows 1 tsp per serving. I prefer the taste with 1 tsp so that’s what I do.

    Value

Excellent product for the price. Great value.

  16. Ann Powell (proprietario verificato)

    Can’t wait to try

I fell in love, love, love coffee of any kind, but hate the draw backs. I got a sample from a coworker and then tried Starbucks Matcha latte. Can’t wait to try this brand. Will update later…

    Unboxing!

    Looks good!

  18. Sarah Mossor (proprietario verificato)

    Not vibrant green, but tasty!

This powder is not as vibrant green as the more expensive ceremonial grades matcha powders I have tried, but the taste is comparable.

I’m more of a latte drinker than straight tea drinker, so this will work for me. Especially for the price!

  19. Esther Star (proprietario verificato)

Tasty but hard to stir in smoothly

Doesn’t stir well, separates unless you have a frother or blend it with a blender. Tastes wonderful though

  20. Danielle W. (proprietario verificato)

    Great

    Love it !
