It’s pretty good for the price range

I used to bring back LongJing tea from China every time I go. But due to Covid, I wasn’t able to replenish my supply. Luckily, I found these online site and decided to give it a try. it has the longjing flavor that I liked, though the leaves are quite big and not fresh tea, but for the price it satisfied my craving for longjing tea during this special time.

Like it but still searching for better Dragon Well tea…

Like it but still searching for better Long Jing Tea:
I first came to know of Long Jing tea during my visit to the tea village in Hang Zhou, China over 10 years ago. The tea there tasted very fresh with distinctive nutty roasted mung bean flavor.
Efoofan Dragon Well tea has light and clean taste but still doesn’t have enough strong nutty taste I was looking for. Keep searching…

    Good Quality

Seals well, great quality in Long Jing, priced well, hard to find a better option for a nice daily Long Jing tea.

Organic Dragon Well: A drinkable green tea, but far from a showstopper.

A decent daily drinker, but lacking the complexities of quality Longjing. If you would like to have a decent green tea to brew a western style cup on the go, This tea is a viable option, but I would want to keep a better tea on hand for Gongfu or to serve to guests.

    Great authentic Chinese green tea

Nice flavor and aroma, tea leaves are intact without small broken pieces, good for 3 or 4 brewing on one set of leaves.

This is a good Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea

This is a good Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea. Though it is not as good as the Long Jing tea I used to have in China a long time ago, but it is much better than those that you can buy nowadays from Chinese grocery stores in the USA. It is fresh. I like it and will buy more.

Delicious whole leaf tea with traceable sourcing

The aroma of the tea leaves when you open the foil pack is divine! The leaves are easy to brew (and you can actually cook with them and eat them if you prefer, like any herb) into a wonderfully smooth tea that has a light color and gently sweet taste, not too bitter or bold but not so insipid that you question whether you really brewed it. The company provides their location, contact information, and where the tea bushes are grown, as well as the harvest method (hand picked leaves). I love that they even post their inspection certificates from the Organic certification agencies of the world. Nice packaging (a metal tin with clear labeling, and not too challenging to open, with a foil pack inside, and a bonus clip for holding the foil pack closed inside the tin). Definitely a nice gift, or a way to treat yourself to a bit of luxury.

    Tastes good and well priced

Traditional Chinese Longjing tea. Not the superior class, but for the price I do not have much to complain. It tastes good at the first brew, but the flavor becomes too weak after that.

I actually would like to give it 4 1/2 stars

I actually would like to give it 4 1/2 stars. It is quite a good Dragon Well, but not the best ever. The growing season can have this effect on the tea. I just wish they would rate the season each year.

This tea tastes great. I’d definitely buy again

    Summer’s Beverage

This Dragon Well brews a light bodied, pale yellow liquor. The trademark “Glutinous” fragrance is present, as is the vegetal flavor. It has a slightly sweet and citric finish; lovely.

The leaves are flat and there is very little dust. The leaves vary in size and color. For example, some leaves appear to be over-fired, with tinges of yellow. Most leaves are a dull, flat green, typical of average quality teas. There are also a number of beautifully bright green and fresh-looking leaves. Most of the leaves are whole, or nearly so. Some have bits of stem attached. I believe the unevenness of the leaves is a result of mass production, but really, that whole hand-picked, formed, and processed bit is now a myth, isn’t it?

For that quality, you’d be paying many times this price. This is a good Dragon Well for the price, and good for two or three brews. It’s also good iced. Sippy, sippy!

    Decent

This loose leaf green tea needs to steep before you can drink it. It looks like a high quality tea and it’s packaged well. The problem is that the taste is on the bitter side to me. I drink green tea almost daily, and matcha is usually darker in taste than regular green tea that didn’t stay in the shade. I really didn’t care for this one, even after adding my usual fresh lemon.

    Eatable tea leaves.

I’ve used the tea for the past 17 years. It’s made from only the new leaves at the beginning of the growing season. The leave are totally eatable. almost no flavor but can be consumed same as veggies in a soup and more important is it’s organic.

Great tea and amazingly fast shipping!

My grocery store usually sells self-serve, bulk tea leaves, but with covid 19 they had to stop all sales where customers handled containers. In a panic I looked online and found Efoofan sold what I wanted. Granted I had to buy a bit more than I needed, but the price was right. It came amazingly fast, and the quality is excellent.
