Matcha Green Tea Powder
Mostly as expected, though there’s a bit of a non-leafy taste/smell to it which, yes, does resemble wood byproduct. Not horrible but somewhat unremarkable otherwise aside from the unexpected taste.
Quantity is a bit more than one would expect for the price.

Chinese Product
Don’t be fooled by the frequent use of “Japanese” and “organic.” This is a Chinese product which was unlikely grown under strict USDA Certified Organic guidelines.

Good Ceremonial Grade Matcha
If you’re drinking ceremonial grade matcha, you’re supposed to drink it plain, not in a latte, not in baked goods. There is culinary grade matcha for those purposes that you can buy in bulk. There should never be any bitterness in this tea since it is first harvest and the high grade means it should have a green earthy taste without any bitterness. I usually make my ceremonial tea with 140 F water and a frother, any hotter and you risk burning/scalding the tea and causing it to become slightly bitter. This tea fits all the qualities and makes a lovely rich and creamy cup of matcha tea!

Excellent Flavour for Baking Aside from Drinking as Tea
The taste is great – it’s not as good as others I’ve had, but it’s a decent, inexpensive option. I’ve enjoyed it as tea and also used it for baking on special occasions. For baking, the powder is already very fine, making it easy to incorporate into recipes. I’ve mainly baked cakes with it, and they’ve consistently turned out delicious and full of flavor.
At $20, it’s on the low end of pricing compared to other similar products available on other platforms.

Not as vibrant or tasty as my regular matcha brand,
This product arrived in 2 weeks and was shipped in the bag depicted in the product listing photos without any additional packaging.
PROS
-The taste is decent; definitely has a strong matcha flavour but it is not particularly sweet and has a slight aftertaste.
-The asking price of $20 CAD is not unreasonable.
CONS
-Not quite sure what certain marketing monikers mean such as “first harvest” or “zero burden” which are not only unverifiable but also seem superfluous.
-I feel there are better tasting products available for a comparable price. Even though this is a decent product, I would not reorder this over my regular brand.

A bit of a seaweed flavor
This matcha upon opening has a seaweed smell. From what I can tell, this is not unusual for matcha and isn’t an immediate indicator of its quality. Another matcha I’ve tried did not smell like seaweed immediately but had a seaweed smell after adding water to it while this one smelled like seaweed even without adding water. This matcha also had a slight seaweed taste to it that was stronger than the other matcha. The overall taste is somewhat bitter and somewhat umami like seaweed. This taste may not be for everyone. Adding milk and sweetener, it tastes better but still has a bit of a seaweed taste to it.
This matcha also kind of tries to hide that is from China. When I ordered this, I thought it was from Japan but after receiving it, I found out that it is from China. The price is also on par with some of the other matcha that does come from Japan so it doesn’t really seem like you’re getting much of a discount ordering this. I’m not enough of a matcha expert to be able to tell how this compares to Japanese matcha but comparing this to the other Japanese ceremonial grade matcha, this one has more of an umami seaweed flavor. I am not sure if it is a sign of its high quality or poor quality.

Best testing matcha I’ve had yet
I have tried about 10 brands of matcha for my daily matcha latte and this is the best! Delicious, lots of matcha flavor. (In the cheap/ medium priced range.) You wont regret it!

Not bad
I’m not much of a tea drinker but I’m in the process of TRYING to develop healthier eating habits. I’m also not very familiar with this type of tea but did some research and wanted to give it a try.
As mentioned by many, it has a very earthy taste to it. I mean it was palatable but it does take some getting use to. If you are already a tea drinker it may not be a big deal to you.
I was very happy that it didn’t have an aftertaste like when you burp, however it does leave a funny taste on your tongue. I solved that by sucking on a piece of candy.
Now I will be honest, I may not use this to drink “raw” like I have done. In the future I will be using it in smoothies.
Overall not bad.

The best, buy it, you’re going to love it
It is the richest Marcha in the world if you mix it with oat milk or almond milk. I recommend using a whisk or blending it to have more creaminess but the knowledge is um

Doesn’t taste like premium matcha

A little bit grainy

Great deal
I love this matcha. It’s such a good deal and it very good quality matcha.

Choose two only out of taste, value and organic
Very good value for money and love that it’s organic, but taste is very bitter and grainy. Next time I will continue my search for an organic matcha, that said, I might have to compromise on value but I’ve decided it’s worth it to pay for a satisfying one dose of morning tea that is organic- much cheaper than going to a coffee shop everyday.
