Matcha originated in China, dating back to the Song Dynasty and its birthplace is Linan of Hangzhou. Hangzhou is also the distribution center of Japanese tea today, EFOOFAN exports our tea to Japan both Matcha and other japanese teas like sencha, gyokuro etc.

This is baking grade so in comparison to ceremony grade, I’m not sure. It tastes like matcha to me. For some reason I’ve had to yak or puke a few times taking this. I thought maybe it was something else. But I since stopped drinking it. I’m a big tea drinker too. I’ve had matcha before. So I know what I’m talking about. Could’ve mixed with something else I took each time like coffee and creamers or milk still in my stomach. Most likely the case. But for the quantity you can’t beat it

I enjoy drinking green tea at least once a day sometimes twice it’s pretty good. You just got it estimate how much to drink with water it taste better and hot tea hot water.

After tried 3 cups of frappuccino,i must say The quality of matcha powder is wooh!!!!. I used my ninja blender to make Frappuccino. It has rich foam and the slightly astringent taste that matcha should have. The color is also a very fresh matcha color(original pic),i really highly recommended.

Ought this one to try it out because it was a good deal. It has a aftertaste and I thought it was sweetened but it’s not. I would recommend a different kind that is sweetened if your going to make late’s.

Compared to ceremonial matcha, this is darker and fuller bodied. It will also be bitter and the color of the powder in the bag reflects this as well. I would say this is a better idea for lattes as the fuller body will carry through after milk and maybe sweeteners. I like the price point and I’m not disappointed.
It does not have a grainy texture either and it blends very well into both milk and water. As for the health benefits of matcha, I’m taking this tea for the antioxidants that I’m aware are good for my sciatica. Please do your own research on benefits.

i take matcha as a natural source for theanine and all the other good properties, otherwise i’m not much of a tea person. i have never forked out top dollar for matcha but i have tried a few other brands that were definitely much more expensive than this and i don’t notice much difference including the cheapest ceremonial i could find and a couple other culinary- it’s a rich green colored fine powder, all have tasted bitter but that’s just a typical tea flavor to me when prepared as a traditional cup of hot tea. i have mixed 1/4 tsp with ground ginger and coriander in room temp water in morning while fasting, or 1/2 tsp with a tulsi moringa teabag in hot water, and add 1 tsp to cold coconut milk smoothie at lunch (plus gelatin, strawberries, beetroot powder, mct & other supplements etc,) all are palatable and not noticeable in the smoothie for sure. comes from china not japan if that matters to you- but this mixes well and i have been happier with this for my uses over previous more expensive brands & will definitely continue buying this.
