    Tasty matcha

This is a high quality and tasty matcha. It makes delicious iced green tea lattes with some cold milk and your sweetener of choice (if preferred). We like to add some peppermint syrup as well. Nice!

    A slightly bitter tea

This matcha comes in a zipper bag that should be reusable for a long time. The picture is the settled powder once the vacuum seal is removed. I use it as a tea. It blends well and smells great. The flavor is ok but it has, for me, a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is not so much that I would toss it, but it is enough that I probably won’t order again. Good matcha is expensive and this is over 3 ounces, so it’s actually a good value.

  3. Connie Johnson (propietario verificado)

    A bit expensive

The taste was a little too bitter for me. I had to add extra water and a little bit of Stevia to make it palatable for me.

  4. Kindle Customer (propietario verificado)

    Strong tasting

This Matcha powder is definitely a little strong for me. I would experiment with maybe half of what they recommend and figure out what is best tasting for you. It seemed to blend well in hot water, I didn’t try and froth it. The price point on this product though is very high – I do not see what is so special about the product to warrant the high price. I am going to try and make shakes using this as an additional flavor, as I think that is probably a good use for this product as well.

    Good matcha

This premium culinary grade matcha from China tastes good! It’s not the best matcha I have ever had, but it is less expensive than that (believe it or not). The process for growing, harvesting and processing leaves for matcha is quite complicated and worth looking up. Matcha is so good for us! This tastes good alone or in a matcha latte (yum!).

    Good matcha

This Efoofan Zero-Burden Matcha Green Tea Powder is very nice matcha. It has a deep green color, and a nice grassy smell, with no fishy odor or flavor.

The powder is very fine, with no noticeable lumps or grittiness, and mixes easily into hot water. I use 1.5 teaspoons in 16-20oz of water, and this seems to be a good ratio for me.

It comes in a pouch which is easy to open and reusable. I like the pouch, find it much easier to use than the foil pouch that many matchas come in, and plan to reuse it for other matcha which is less ideally packaged. Upon initial opening, it had a ziplock which was intact. Because I live at altitude, it was a bit pressurized and matcha powder got a little all over the place when opening – not enough to be a loss of significant content, just something to be prepared for.

A little bitter, maybe my fault for making it too strong

This is the second matcha tea I have tried recently. For whatever reason I preferred the other one, from Shizuoka, that you can find it on Amazon

This isn’t bad but I suspect I made my bowl of tea much too strong. A more experienced matcha drinker might very well prefer this one.

    Solid matcha

This is a nice big bag of premium culinary grade matcha. It dissolves into milk/water easily and produces a nice foam when whisked. It’s a little more bitter than I would like, especially priced at $20. If you follow the instructions though and thoroughly whisk it, you will still find a solid choice for matcha tea even with its shortcoming.

    Cheap, but quality

So I’m no matcha connoisseur. That said, I’ve had a few fancier matchas in Kyoto, and I’ve tried a few brands of “ceremonial” grade matcha.

Personally, I found that this matcha was a little bit bitter when mixed to a thick consistency. Diluting it with more water or milk produced a delicious, though not particularly deep, matcha flavor that I enjoyed. Especially with sugar and milk (I know…), I got what I thought was a very good matcha latte. The flavor of the tea stood up to the milk wonderfully. In my house, at least, this is probably what I’ll end up using this matcha for. But at nearly $20, there might be better options out there.

    Really nice green tea powder

This green tea powder is a very nice quality. Smells and looks just like you would like it too. I enjoy mine with some milk and honey to sweeten it up a bit. Would be great to make plain green tea as well as green tea lattes like they do at Starbucks. Highly recommend this product.

    A bag of quality matcha.

This matca powder mixes in as well as any match powder. I don’t have a match whisk, so I typically use a little hand mixer/frother, and it works like a charm.

The flavor of this matcha is good – nothing out of the ordinary and I love that it’s organic. Pair with a little tea cup and offer it as a gift to a friend or family member, as this cute little tin is certainly gift worthy.

Tastes great hot or cold or in a shake.

  13. Mark Leyesa (propietario verificado)

    Excellent Quality and Tastes Fresh

Green tea latte – that’s the stuff this was made for. Always turns out great!

  14. john noble (propietario verificado)

    Meets the characteristics

Very good product, you definitely feel the matcha, you need very little product for your daily drink, and it comes with a very good amount of product, I really loved it it was worth it

  15. Kathy W. (propietario verificado)

    Great deal, great quality!

I typically use ceremonial grade, but wanted to get a less fancy matcha for when I add a tiny bit of milk in my large cups at work. The culinary grade is surprisingly good and it’s an awesome deal! I was skeptical at first, but I now have it on a schedule to send me a bag every two months. I drink it cold, but I’ve had it hot and it’s still very good~

Nice flavor. Can be added to so many things.

Love this Matcha! It has lasted my daughter and I a long time!

  18. Angel rubio (propietario verificado)

    My morning coffee replacement

Matcha at a great price. I have changed my morning coffee routine to my morning matcha routine for health reasons.

  19. Emily L (propietario verificado)

Good Value but not as bright as others

If you’re making venti/trenta (24-32oz) sized iced lattes/boba, then this is really the best value. It tastes fine. It’s a bit bitter, and compared to higher quality matcha, is much less “bright” – taste and color wise. For me, the color is not only “muddy” but so is the flavor, however after you add in sweetener or brown sugar, it’s not that big a deal. I do still buy other higher quality matcha for myself to have occasionally when I really want that distinct bright flavor and use this economy size can for my teenagers. If you’re more interested in quality look elsewhere. If you have a larger crowd or are making matcha multiple times a day, this is the best deal (quantity/taste/price wise) on Amazon. I will buy again but don’t know when that will be exactly since it’s taking forever to go through lol. The can is HUGE.

  20. SIMON DAVIES (propietario verificado)

    Good stuff

I like my matcha and this is good stuff. It tastes great and definitely caffeinates me if I overdo it. Goes a long way and lasts while still tasting fresh.
