Good for quantity and price
I think for a family that drinks matcha, this is a great option considering the price. It is a grassier green color, it is not as smooth as ceremonial grade. I just think it is worth it if you are trying to have a good product for a reasonable price.

She loves it!
My girlfriend likes her matcha every morning while I have my coffee. She’s picky and doesn’t like just any. This one so far has been her favorite!

Good quality culinary grade Chinese Matcha powder.
I recently got this 4 ounce pouch of premium culinary grade organic Chinese Matcha powder and it actually exceeded my expectations. The powder dissolved well in milk to become a smoothie and the flavor was equally good as the ones that our local coffee shop serves. It is less smooth than Japanese Matcha powder which is noticeable in hot tea, but I still like it for my smoothies, and at just 2 teaspoons per large smoothie, it is more affordable than going to the coffee shop too!

Tasty matcha, but not sure about the source
Comes in a nice little container and it’s definitely good-tasting matcha that will make a nice drink.
However, the one problem is I’m not 100% confident in the source. USDA Organic certification helps somewhat, but according to ConsumerLab it doesn’t actually guarantee a product has safe levels of heavy metals like lead or arsenic. This is a small brand from China, so I couldn’t find any independent testing data on it from an outside party, and you have to admit that a name like “EFOOFAN” that looks misspelt doesn’t exactly inspire confidence either.
So, good matcha, just be aware it may or may not have contaminants that are hard to test for as an individual consumer. For this reason I wouldn’t want to buy too much, as I have no way of knowing if it’s safe to consume on an ongoing basis.

4oz of matcha powder for $13.90
Yep, it’s matcha. I like to keep matcha in the weekly rotation for its high antioxidants. Compared to green tea, matcha contains nutrients from the entire tea leaf so it has high levels of caffeine & antioxidants.
I like to make a latte by first whisking 2oz of water with 1 teaspoon of matcha powder. I’ll then pour in 5oz of milk for the finished product.
Or more simply, I’ll add 1/2 teaspoon to 1oz for a quick shot or add it to 2oz and drop in a little honey to enjoy it. A great way for a quick jolt of caffeine accompanied with a nice list of benefits, such as: antioxidants, helps brain function, helps liver, heart health, etc.
Thank you for reading and I hope you find this review and the pictures helpful in making a purchasing decision.

Good quality culinary matcha
This is a solid option for matcha lattes and other sweetened uses. I used this mostly for matcha lattes, instead of paying $5 each at a cafe I can make them at home for el cheap-o. This is a reasonably smooth, not too vegetable flavored matcha, and I do appreciate that it’s organic. Price is reasonable for the quality and amount you get.

Taste ok, but clumps up
Made side by side with our normal macha tea. Our normal one dislolved instantly. This one forms clumps that never totally break up. Taste was ok but not great.

Great taste
I am a big matcha fan and I find it a great option to replace everyday coffee and a more healthier. I usually prepare a matcha latte but since this one is ceremonial tastes good with hot water.

Smoothie time!!
First off, don’t drink this straight, it’s culinary grade for a reason. But for smoothies or milk tea? A wonderful fresh matcha flavor. I would absolutely swap it to an airtight cannister as soon as possible; the powder got in the zipper and mine wasn’t shutting properly. Matcha oxidizes horribly so get on that.

Health benefits
I added this to oatmeal per a suggestion from cooking class I took. I boiled and simmered steel cut oats per the package instructions and added a tablespoon of this Matcha powder at the end and mixed it up. I was expecting it to turn everything green, but instead there were just little green flecks. It didn’t change the taste or texture of the steel cut oats much, only very subtly. I topped one time with maple syrup and cinnamon and another time with almond butter and sliced banana. Just a good, versatile superfood, I’d recommend, it’s an easy and convenient way to get added nutrition in your diet.

Matcha Powder
This matcha green tea powder is really good. It mixes well and tastes just like Starbucks. I was very pleased with this purchase and plan to buy more and make it an everyday staple. It doesn’t bunch up and mixes with cold or hot liquids. No problems here. 5 Stars.

Just as I thought it would be!
The matcha green tea is perfect for my use. I’m pretty much basic on the use – nothing elaborate or new or different. It goes pretty well with my banana, strawberry, peanut butter smoothie! One scoop, blend and viola! I taste a hint of it but not enough to overwhelm me. It’s perfect for my basic use.

Jade green, very bitter
Per the instructions on the package, I added 100 ml of water at 170 degrees to 2 grams (a bit less than a teaspoon) of this matcha, and then agitated for 30 seconds. The result is a jade green infusion with notable nori notes, and no vegetal overtones (good), but also a LOT of bitterness. The precipitation was relatively quick.
Adding the above mixture to a cup of oat milk, with a dollop of date syrup, took out the bitterness but left some of the umami. This is very good tasting, and I will totally keep drinking this.
I would call this a high-end culinary matcha.
(The package also claims that matcha is a Chinese invention. I’m impressed at the turfing audacity).
