not really my thing
i love tea and consume a lot. tried matcha in the shops etc but never at home. unfortunately did not like the taste a lot especially the smell but its a me thing, nothing wrong with the product. i normally drink green tea but mix it with others. tried this with chamomile, rosemary and cardamom. if you add vanilla creamer or milk it tastes better but i dont use dairy with my tea. nothing wrong with the product but taste is not for me.

Matcha powder
Great tasting cooking grade matcha. I mixed some up with cake buttercream for a delicious treat. It didn’t clump up and dissolved into a nice green color (although not as bright green as ceremonial ones). Tastes earthy/green with a hint of bitterness.

Decent taste for the price.
I love matcha tea and have tried various brands throughout the years, some which I loved, and some which I have forced myself to finish due to the extravagant cost. I’m glad to say this particular brand is a keeper. Not the best I’ve tasted, but good overall for the very affordable price of $2.43 per ounce. The powder form makes it versatile, both for drinking and baking. I usually add a teaspoon per cup of boiling water if I want to drink it hot, or mix 2 teaspoons to about 12 ounces of cold water (then pour over ice) if I want it cold. The taste is earthy with a touch of bitterness, just the right note for me.

Works for matcha lattes and cakes
I usually order ceremonial grade matcha for drinking matcha tea, but this culinary grade matcha works just fine for matcha lattes and making cream for cakes.
It is definitely too bitter and chalky for my taste to drink by itself, but when blended with oat milk and some maple syrup for a latte (or into a cream for use with baking), the bitterness is not very detectable. You also get a large bag of matcha powder, which can be cost saving if you mainly intend to use it for such purposes. Ceremonial matcha can get very costly and you usually only receive a small quantity for your buck. I was actually surprised by how big this bag was.
I’d recommend this depending on what you intend to use it for.

its okay
This is definitely a culinary grade matcha. I found the flavor lacking just a bit but it whisked well and didn’t have any bitter flavors. This might be best for applications where you want a fruit or other ingredient to stand out more than the matcha flavor.

Good powder, but latte instructions seem off.
My wife is the matcha person, not me, so these are her words. Overall, this seems to be a decent matcha tea powder. I usually use pre-sweetened matcha, so this basic unsweetened powder took some experimenting. For what I was expecting, the ratio of 3 tsp powder to 200ml milk for the matcha latte was waaaaay too strong. Reduced to about 1 tsp and some sweetener added and it was more what I was hoping for. With that straightened out, the powder is perfectly fine. Nothing to right home about, but perfectly usable. It’s actually nice to know I prefer less powder as that means I can stretch the bag farther. If you are used to unsweetened powder, then maybe you’ll have a better first experience than I did.

Ok for smoothies.
I first tried a matcha latte and even with my favorite oat milk creamer it was a bit chalky and slightly bitter. Switched to adding it to my berry smoothies and the bitterness doesn’t show up, works great in those.
In general I like the taste of matcha so it was a little disappointing to not be able to use it as a beverage but I was happy that it worked in my smoothies.

Wonderful
Great substitute for 1/2 the coffee I drink. Nutrient rich.

Chinese matcha
My first culinary matcha after drinking Japanese ceremonial matcha, and there is a difference. This matcha is more bitter and certainly needs to be covered up in a latte or in baked goods. FYI: sourced from China not Japan.

dissolvable green tea power for cakes or drinks
The powder has a nice green tea favor. I used it to mix with some creams as topping on a birthday cake I made for a party. It is easy to mix and was blended very nicely (that is, there’s no powder texture which was completely blended with the cream). I also tried it with hot coffee and it gives out a light matcha coffee favour.

Decent price and decent quality Matcha

Underwhelming flavor
This is the least impressive of several low-priced culinary matchas I’ve tried. Even compared to others in the price range of $10-15 per 3-4 ounces, there is a watery character and noticeable lack of flavor. If green coloring for baked goods is the primary goal this might satisfy, otherwise I would look elsewhere.

Great matcha powder!
I have tried a lot of matcha powders and most of them are really bitter taste. This matcha is so smooth. Great product and great value! I highly recommend.
