  3. Heidi Achin (Verifizierter Besitzer)

    AMAZING AND SUPER FINE

I love everything about this matcha. I make iced milk tea with hazelnut and toffee syrup and oat milk and it tastes like pistachio ice cream

  4. Angelina Kika (Verifizierter Besitzer)

For culinary grade, it’s exactly like a lot of ceremonial grades I’ve tried. Hard to open packaging.

In a blind test, it looked, smelled, tasted, dissolved the exact same way as a ceremonial grade matcha I tried alongside this; I wouldn’t have been able to tell which was which. So, maybe the first honest matcha I’ve tried? I deducted a star only because I had a big struggle opening the packaging. Just ripping the tear-away took way too much effort.

    Good organic matcha powder

I’m pretty happy with this organic matcha powder. It seems fresh out of the resealable bag. It looks just like the matcha powder that i got from other brands. I have used it straight to make matcha tea. The flavor is good – a savory vegetal taste with a very mild hint of astringence and bitterness.

Although the packaging doesn’t mention the country of origin for this matcha, the online product page indicates this is originated from China. It is USDA certified organic and the quality seems good. Mine has an expiration of about 2 years from now. This is great for matcha tea, bakery, latte and smoothies. It’s worth giving it a try.

    Grat quality

I am very much enjoying this product. I find that it blends easily in hot or cold liquids. I am using it primarily with cold coconut milk. I will definitely be purchasing it again.

Taste is great, but super strong,

Taste is perfect, but definitely strong caffeine, and I wouldn’t recommend drinking too much at a time, make sure you stay hydrated!

    pretty good

the taste is great imo. also you get a lot of matcha for the price. it’s a great deal. i’ve been making matcha lattes everyday for like a month now, and i still have alot left. it doesn’t oxidize either.

Healthy & Good Value, but it tastes Weird

I’m a first time matcha drinker. I’ll make this review as fair and honest as I can.

I bought matcha because I read it’s healthier than coffee and provides a slow steady release of energy all day, and it does, among other benefits. I also love to try new things, especially drinks, spices, and foods.

It was delivered on time without any damage to the package. Heavier than I thought too.

FYI-I usually nap immediately after work, but On days when I drink Matcha, I have energy all day and I don’t nap. By the way, I’m a fit, 45 year old man with a high stress professional job so I need energy all day and prefer natural stuff.

Anyway, My only complaint is it tastes bad. Sorry.

So With my 12 year old daughter, who also cringed when she drank it, we playfully experimented with different recipes to improve the flavor.

First, We added sugar. Didn’t help. We added honey too. Nope. Then we added peppermint. Nuh-uh. Strike 3. We added concentrated coconut oil. Better… Finally, I added chocolate mint syrup meant for ice cream. Winner!

Mind you this was all in one cup. So it takes a LOT of other ingredients to make this acquired taste palatable.

    Summary

I’m Not sure Id buy match again, And there’s nothing wrong with this brand – I just think all matcha tastes like this. So…

    Healthy = Yes.
    Taste = Not for me.

Lastly, I think this brand is fine, and good for the value. I always look for deals, and I saw others that were more expensive, but I decided on this because it was the most product by volume for the least cost. Value!

Ultimately, if you already like matcha, buy this for its value and health perks. But if your a first timer, try it at a coffee shop or friend’s house first to make sure you like it before you buy, or be ready to add a ton of sweeteners to it.

    Cheers!

    Not the best taste

This matcha had a bitter taste compared to others and has a more gritty texture.

  14. Mr R Gainsborough (Verifizierter Besitzer)

    good taste

Taste is strong enough. Made tea and cookies with it and taste good.

  15. Susie Q (Verifizierter Besitzer)

    Scoop

Review might go up but I have to say not adding a scoop for better portion control here could be a mistake. I haven’t tried blending it into a smoothie yet as its not quite that time of the year but still trying to figure out the best way to incorporate it into a cup of hot tea or something similar. The powder does not mix easily and using a drink mixer is proving to be quite messy in a normal mug. I always throw in a stick of Cinnamon for flavor so might have to look at blending it cold and trying to make it in batches?

    Versatile use

Easy to blend for your morning matcha. Texture is nice and silky, recommend adding almond milk for a nice latte in the morning. High quality, and good value for your money, also great for cooking- smells wonderful!

  19. David F. (Verifizierter Besitzer)

    Doesn’t dissolve well

Product doesn’t dissolve as well as the ceremony grade matcha but the price is better

  20. kyriakos zorbas (Verifizierter Besitzer)

Good value but not the best flavor/quality

I bought this because I was spending a large amount of cash every month on Match Green Tea Powder. MatchaDNA is super inexpensive and worth it if you have a large family or drink a ton of smoothies, lattes, tea, etc, by yourself. However, you do get what you pay for. It is certainly not the best tasting Matcha and you will notice a difference from other high end/expensive Matcha powders. It really boils down to your budget and how often you drink green tea. If you only use it on occasion, I would spend the extra to get a good ceremonial grade Matcha. Conversely, if you are like me and use Matcha everyday and put it in almost everything, then take a chance with this stuff. Great overall value.
